SOJA is an eight-piece reggae band from Arlington, Virginia. The Soldiers, formed in 1997 by high school classmates and musicians who frequently gigged in the neighborhood, made their recorded debut in 2000 with the SOJA EP.
Their debut album, Peace in a Time of War, was released in 2002, and its dub version, Dub in a Time of War, was released in 2004. Get Wiser was released in 2006 and launched back home, with the album being played live in entirety, at a concert that was caught on the DVD release Get Wiser Live that year.
