Lauderdale, Florida in 1993, the daughter of Colombian immigrants. She began taking dancing classes at the age of three and made her theatrical debut as Dorothy in a Miami theater rendition of The Wizard of Oz in 2001. The next year, she attended the University of Miami's summer theater program, where she studied dance and vocal performance. Carson continued her dancing and singing skills throughout high school. Carson is a UCLA student who studies communications and French in addition to acting. Carson made her professional debut as Chelsea on the Disney Channel sitcom Austin & Ally in 2014. The next year, she was cast in MTV's Faking It. She also acted as Evie in the Disney Channel original film The Descendants in 2015, for which she also sang on the soundtrack. Carson appeared in the Disney Channel adaptation of Adventures in Babysitting in 2016. That same year, she made her Hollywood Records debut with the tune Love Is the Name.
