Smosh is an American sketch comedy YouTube channel founded by Ian Andrew Hecox and Anthony Padilla. Padilla began creating flash cartoons on Newgrounds under the alias Smosh in early 2003. Later, he was joined by his buddy Ian Hecox.
Soon later, in the autumn of 2005, they began posting videos on YouTube and quickly became one of the most popular channels on the web. As of June 2015 the Smosh channel has more than 20 million subscribers and 4.4 billion video views.
