Rae Sremmurd (pronunciation) is an American hip hop duo from Tupelo, Mississippi, consisting of brothers Khalif Swae Lee Brown (born June 7, 1995) and Aaquil Slim Jxmmi Brown (born December 29, 1993). They are most known for their platinum songs No Flex Zone and No Type, which reached at number 23 and 9, respectively, on the US Billboard Hot 100.
They are headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. SremmLife, their debut album, was released on January 6, 2015. By writing each word backwards, the moniker Rae Sremmurd is derived from the duo's home label EarDrummers. They've been compared to Kris Kross.
