Skylar Kergil is a transgender singer-songwriter, activist, educator, writer, and artist from Acton, Massachusetts, who now lives in Boston. After high school, he attended Skidmore College, where he served on the board of the Pride Alliance, as a Peer Mentor, and as an active part of the community until graduating with honors and leadership awards on May 18, 2013.
While majoring in Studio Art with a focus on drawing and photography, he also took classes and had interests in gender studies, environmental studies, philosophy, poetry, and biology. As of today, he is traveling to teach, working on his music, and writing a book on his journey from high school and college.
