Skizzy Mars (born Myles Mills) is a Manhattan-based MC known for his jocular melodic somewhat left-of-center lyricism. Born and bred in Harlem, he became interested in current rock bands before becoming interested in the work of rappers like as Kid Cudi and Kanye West, as well as A Tribe Called Quest. While he was still a teenager, he posted Douchebag a tune that drew notice and drove him to disclose additional material, which led to a publishing agreement. In 2013, and 2014, he released two mixtapes, Phases and Pace. The Red Balloon Project, a seven-track EP released in February 2015 with major distribution from WEA, debuted at number 35 on the Billboard 200 list. Alone Together, Mills' formal debut album, was released in April 2016, and included JoJo and Rome Fortune, among others. It came in at number 50. Skizzy was soon featured on G-Eazy and Devon Baldwin's first huge hit, All I Could Do. Skizzy claims he acquired his rap moniker from a nickname given to him by his English teacher, Skills Mills. He failed most of his high school subjects except English, which he excelled at. He dropped out of Union College after only 10 weeks to pursue a career as a rapper. Skizzy Mars supported G-Eazy on his Must Be Nice tour and Logic on his Welcome to Forever tour in 2013. In 2016 Skizzy Mars went on his first headlining cross nation tour named the Alone Together tour with fellow Rapper P-Lo.
