Simone George is a human rights activist and lawyer. George's practice focuses on representing women and children who have been the victims of abuse or violence. In addition, George co-wrote the national study The Lawlessness of the Home.
She co-organized an international summit in 2016 to urge greater leadership in the legal system in order to assist make changes to domestic abuse legislation. The summit became an important declaration of Irish legal, social, and political justice. George also actively fought in Ireland for marriage equality and reproductive rights. Mark Pollock, her partner, fractured his back in 2010.
