Simon Woodroffe dropped out of school at the age of 16 and worked in the entertainment industry for the next 30 years. During the 1970s and 1980s, his London and Los Angeles production firms created and performed performances for a variety of performers, including The Moody Blues, Madness, Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder, and George Michael.
Simon ventured into television in the 1990s. He was the driving force behind the creation of television partnerships that allowed massive international rock concerts, such as Nelson Mandela's, Amnesty International's, and the Prince's Trust's, to be broadcast across the world.
