Simon John Pegg is a stand-up comedian, writer, and actor from England. Simon Pegg co-wrote and co-starred in the critically acclaimed cult television comedy Spaced (as Tim Bisley). After two revolutionary seasons, he went on to co-create and co-write the highly acclaimed Shaun of the Dead, starring as the eponymous hero Shaun. Many people, including Empire magazine and Channel 4, have named the film one of the best British comedies ever filmed. After sweeping zombie award ceremonies and the United States, Pegg and Wright followed up their initial film triumph with the smash-hit sequel Hot Fuzz, in which Pegg appeared as 14ber policeman Nicholas Angel. Pegg went on to star in David Schwimmer's feature film Run Fatboy Run, as well as as the anti-hero Sidney Young in How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, opposite Kirsten Dunst and Jeff Bridges. Pegg studied theater at the University of Bristol and began his career as a stand-up comedian. He has appeared in several television comedy, including Asylum, Six Pairs of Pants, Faith in the Future, Big Train, and Hippies.
