Simon David Kinberg (born August 2, 1973) is an American screenwriter and producer of British origin. He is most recognized for his contributions to the X-Men film franchise, although he has also written for Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Sherlock Holmes.
He has also worked as a producer on Cinderella and The Martian, for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture. Genre Films (commonly attributed as Kinberg Genre) is his production firm, and it has a first-look agreement with 20th Century Fox.
