Simon Berrow, an Irishman, has spent his life researching albatrosses, seals, penguins, sharks, and other water creatures. He formed the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group and the Irish Basking Shark Study Group as a devoted scientist and admirer of Ireland's natural heritage.
He's also the creator of Simon's shark slime sample device, which uses a mop handle and an oven cleaner to gather shark DNA for examination and has shown to be the most successful. The Science Gallery in Dublin was used to shoot the TEDxTalk.
