Silkroad musicians from many cultures together to produce art, performance, and ideas. The Silk Road Ensemble, comprised of musicians and composers from over 20 nations, was founded in 2000 under the creative supervision of Yo-Yo Ma. Since then, audiences and reviewers in over 30 countries across Asia, Europe, and North America have welcomed these artists who are deeply committed to cross-cultural understanding and creativity. Six albums have been released by the band.
