Signe's outstanding record of accomplishments dates back to the mid-1990s, when she began her dissertation in Zoology/Primatology at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands and continued her post-Doc studies at the Yerkes Primate Center in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States of America.
For almost a decade, Signe taught zoology/primatology at several colleges in the United States and Austria, as well as serving as the Scientific Director of the Hope Chimpanzee Rehabilitation and Resocialization Program in Austria. VIER PFOTEN (also known as Four Paws) founded the Competence Center Apes in 2007 and began providing financial assistance to the BOS Foundation.
