Sibila Vargas is a Dominican American news anchor who appears on WNBC-TV in New York City on weekdays at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. She is a former CBS 2 News morning and 11 a.m. anchor for KCBS-TV in Los Angeles, previously of KRIV in Houston, Texas, and former CNN entertainment reporter. Vargas worked as a freelance entertainment reporter for KTLA-TV in Los Angeles. Vargas has worked as a guest co-host on ABC's The View. Vargas has also hosted Hollywood Insider on TV Guide Channel, Fox Movie Channel News and FXM Dailies, Real TV on Paramount Domestic TV, and Forever Young on Fox Sports and Fit TV. She began her broadcasting career as a writer and producer at WPIX-TV in New York. Vargas received his bachelor's degree from Long Island University. Vargas joined CNN in March 2004 as an entertainment correspondent/anchor located in CNN's Los Angeles California bureau. Vargas also appeared on American Morning's 90 Second Pop and Anderson Cooper 360� on a regular basis.
