Shukla Bose's Parikrma Humanity Foundation essentially gives a whole revolution, a complete route around, to children in disadvantaged metropolitan regions around Bangalore. With excellent results, Parikrma's four Schools of Hope teach the whole regular Indian curriculum to students who may not otherwise see the inside of a classroom.
Equally essential, schools must create an atmosphere that promotes learning from start to finish, including daily food, health care, and family support. In addition to these schools, Parikrma has launched various afterschool programs and wants to establish a single teacher-training hub. In 1992, Bose quit a corporate position to co-found Parikrma with a small group of friends.
