Shpongle is a Psybient or psychedelic downtempo music project. The members are Simon Posford (aka Hallucinogen) and Raja Ram (one third of The Infinity Project). Simon takes charge of the production equipment and programming while Raja Ram is the flautist and Cunning Linguist.
They DJ alone and together Simon having recently finished 52 concerts in the USA travelling with a visual spectacle known as 'The Shpongletron'. The pair is regarded as one of the forefathers of the psybient genre, which combines world music with psychedelic trance and ambient.
