Sheryl Crow has received many Grammy nominations for her solo work, including her self-titled album Sheryl Crow. After college, she began her career as a music teacher at a St. Louis primary school. She began recording jingles for commercial companies such as McDonald's after coming to Los Angeles, and she also worked as a backup vocalist.
She performed on Michael Jackson's Bad world tour in 1987-88. She went on to provide background vocals for Sting, Rod Stewart, and Don Henley. She began her career with the band The Tuesday Music Club, who produced the multi-platinum album Tuesday Night Music Club in 1993, which contained the big single All I Wanna Do.
