Sherri Saum is a well-known American actress. Saum currently plays Lena Adams Foster in the ABC Family drama series The Fosters. She is also recognized for her appearances in the daytime serial operas Sunset Beach and One Life to Live, as well as her television roles in Beggars and Choosers Rescue Me and In Treatment.
Saum was born in Dayton, Ohio, to a German mother and a black father. Saum got her start at a Model Search America convention in Kettering, Ohio, near her home. She was found modeling during high school, usually during summer vacations, until she decided to travel to New York and work full-time with the modeling firm Images Management.
