Shelly Lazarus is the head of the worldwide advertising agency Ogilvy Mather. Since the 1970s, she has been at the vanguard of the advertising business. Her trademarks "clear branding and tight client connections" have drawn some of the world's most prestigious brands to Ogilvy, including American Express, Coca-Cola, Ford, IBM, and Unilever, among many others.
She has been named to Fortune magazine's yearly list of America's 50 Most Powerful Women in Business since the list's debut in 1998. Lazarus was the first woman to earn the Distinguished Leader in Business Award from Columbia Business School, as well as the Advertising Educational Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award.
