My study aims to determine and explain how diverse social psychological processes generate gender inequality systems.

I'm particularly interested in how gendered expectations shape men and women's (or boys and girls') everyday experiences in achievement-oriented settings like school and work, and how these seemingly "small" inequalities are amplified by institutional environments in ways that contribute to the reproduction or amelioration of more macro forms of gender inequality, such as the gender segregation.
