She has worked on projects that have won over 65 Primetime Emmys, 46 Peabody Awards, and 26 Academy Awards.
Nevins has more individual Primetime Emmy Awards than anybody else. Nevins was born in Manhattan, New York on April 6, 1939, to Stella, a chemist, and Benjamin Nevins, a Russian immigrant post office worker and bookmaker. Her mother had Raynaud's illness and scleroderma. Her uncle was a rich entrepreneur who contributed to her education.
