Shaun Micheel is a professional golfer from the United States who is most known for his unexpected victory at the 2003 PGA Championship. Micheel was born in the city of Orlando in the state of Florida. In 1992, he graduated from Christian Brothers High School in Memphis, Tennessee, and went on to Indiana University.
After his parents purchased a property on a golf course near Memphis, he taught himself how to play. He had a shaky start to his professional career, struggling to keep his PGA Tour membership. In 1998, he won the Singapore Open, and the following year, he won the Nike Tour (now the Web.com Tour).
