Shad Begum is the founding director of the Association for Behavior and Knowledge Transformation (ABKT), a group working to improve networks in impoverished areas of Pakistan on a financial and political level. She served as a counselor in Dir Lower for a significant period while contesting neighborhood decisions in 2001 as a free competitor.
