Shabba Ranks was born Rexton Rawlston Fernando Gordon in Sturgetown, St Ann's, Jamaica, on January 17, 1966. He's collaborated with a diverse group of artists. Maxi Priest, American rappers KRS One and Chubb Rock, reggae singers Cocoa Tea, Crystal, and Mykal Rose, R&B singer Johnny Gill, and Rock & Roll pioneer Chuck Berry are among those honored. Mr.
Loverman was his biggest hit outside of the reggae community, however, it was not his best work in Jamaica or among many reggae fans. Respect, No Mama Man, Get Up Stand Up And Rock, Caan Dun, and Ting A Ling are some of the most popular reggae tunes.
