Dr. Berkley serves on various business and nonprofit boards and international steering committees, including those of Gilead Sciences, the New York Academy of Sciences, and the Acumen Fund.

Seth attended Brown University for his undergraduate studies and medical training before attending Harvard University for his internal medicine residency. Dr. Berkley received an honorary doctorate in 2013 from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, recognizing his contributions to international public health and the advancement of the universal right to healthcare.
