Over the past 30 years, Sean Sherman, an Oglala Lakota born in Pine Ridge, South Dakota, has been cooking around the US and the rest of the world. His primary focus in terms of cuisine has been on revitalizing and considering native food frameworks in a sophisticated culinary environment.
Sean has worked diligently and independently to build these food frameworks that include knowledge of Native American farming techniques—using and collecting wild food, managing land, producing salt and sugar, hunting and fishing, and promoting food conservation.
