Sean may frequently be seen holding up with his girlfriends at the bus station while wearing odd outfits. At the same time, his better half Rachel is preoccupied with getting ready for her activities, operating a software firm, and creating paintings in exhibits around the country. This isn't Sean's only method of entertaining—and embarrassing—his kids; he'll look for any opportunity to turn a mundane situation into a laugh. In any event, life wasn't always enjoyable for this active family. Sean Kent, then only 29 years old, was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2003. Early treatments first eliminated malignant growth, but only a few months later, it recurred violently. A bone marrow transplant almost spared his life, but the situation remained dire. The doctors at the City of Hope Hospital had to act quickly. Sean was informed that his chances of enjoying the year were 50/50. Ten years later, in 2013, Sean's cancerous development completely stopped. He moved in with Rachel, the love of his life, and her two little daughters, Arwen and Joopsy, in 2007. Since then, there have been six incredibly long years of kid parenting, training, building, leaping education, learning how to assure and provide, listening, giggling, and cherishing.
