Young adult author Scott Westerfeld is a New York Times best-selling author. He was born in Texas and currently divides his time between Sydney and New York. Westerfeld wed Justine Larbalestier, an independent creative, in 2001. He is most known for the Uglies and Leviathan arrangement, and on September 23, 2014, his newest book, Afterworlds, will be released.
His work Evolution's Sweetheart received Special Recognition for the 2000 Philip K. Dick Prize and was listed as a Notable Book by the New York Times. Hence, Leviathan and Midnighters 1: The Hidden Hour both received an Aurealis Prize, while Yesterday was given a Victorian Premier's Award.
