They created The Gay Comedy Jam, a production with sold-out performances in 150 metropolitan areas throughout the Country. The countdown continues even after the death of Kevin Maye in 1998 since The Gay Comedy Jam also brought gay comedy to Macon, GA, Birmingham, AL, Nashville, and Tampa. But, not according to the Gay Comedy Jam. Kennedy has almost 20 years of experience as a nationally touring comedian, building on performances at the HBO Aspen Comedy Festival and the Montréal Comedy Festival. Scott Kennedy received his half-hour special, Comedy Central Presents... Scott Kennedy, after appearing on Comedy Central's Premium Blend. Both of these are frequently mentioned on LOGO and Comedy Central. He is also quite popular on CMT. Scott was ranked among the top 100 joke writers by Comedy Central in 2005.
