Scott Dietzen is a three-time successful entrepreneur who has worked at WebLogic, Zimbra, and Transarc. He currently sits on the board of directors for prominent data pioneer Cloudera. Before joining Pure Storage, he held these positions at Zimbra, providing open-source information and collaborative programming. Zimbra was an early adopter of Web 2.0 and Open Core standards (purchased by Yahoo!
in addition to VMware). Before joining Zimbra, Scott served as CTO of BEA Systems, where he contributed to developing the innovation and commercial strategy for WebLogic, which helped BEA increase its annual revenues from $61 million to over $1 billion. Scott joined BEA in 1998 after the company acquired WebLogic, a leader in Java and web application worker innovation.
