Scott Aukerman Biography

Scott is an American writer, comedian, TV character creator, and host of webcasts David Aukerman. Aukerman was an author and performer on Mr. Show with Bob and David in the middle of the 1990s. He now owns the IFC original TV series Comedy Bang! Blast! as well as the weekly parody digital recording Comedy Bang. With Zach Galifianakis, Aukerman is a co-producer of the film Between Two Ferns and a co-benefactor of the Earwolf online recording system. Aukerman was born in Savannah, Georgia, but spent his early years in Orange County, California, where he attended Cypress High School and the Orange County High School of the Arts, studied acting and musical theatre, and in his spare time, wrote plays. In addition, he and Adrian Young, who later became No Doubt's drummer, formed the short-lived band The Naked Postmen. He and individual understudy B.J. Doorman began writing together while scripting and performing in a radio program called Lutz Radio while attending Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa.
