Sasha Pieterse Biography

Sasha Pieterse immigrated to the United States when she was three years old. She was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. Pieterse was raised near a stage. Pieterse loved performing in front of an audience with her parents, seasoned dance partners who served worldwide. She soon met with a specialist, who immediately signed her up for an acting and performing contract. At age 4, she started working in the company part-time, doing print and plug work. Sasha Pieterse made her TV debut at 6 in 2002 as Buffy on the Warner Bros. spoof series Family Affair. She appeared in Stargate SG-1 in 2004. As she portrayed a little girl named Andie with a deadly malignant tumor in the television show House M.D., she started to gain notoriety as an entertainer. Later, in 2005, her performance on House, M.D. was considered for a daytime Emmy. She made her acting debut in 2005's The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl as Marissa the Ice Princess, the little daughter of Mr. Electricidad and the primary understudy who quickly became good friends with Max. Pieterse has created several television commercials, including popular national advertisements for "Nesquick" and "Firestone Tires." She was featured in an ad for "Supercuts" that ran around the country, and she later sang and performed in the Macy's Passport Fashion Show that traveled throughout California. She recorded The Air I Breathed for a Sarah Michelle Gellar-featuring element in 2006 and played the central role of Maggie in Claire, a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie. In the 2006 film Good Luck Chuck, Pieterse played the young Anisha, a goth teenager.
