Sasha Farber is a Russian professional artist born in Australia and is well-known for his professional and ensemble performances on Dancing with the Stars. Farber was born in Russia, but he later migrated to Australia and began traveling at the age of 13. When he was 17 years old, Farber twice took first place in the Australian Youth Latin Championships and represented Australia at the World Latin Championships. Also, he participated in the closing ceremony for the 2000 Sydney Olympics and was featured during the second round of Australia's Dancing with the Stars. He was also a distinctive member of the Burn the Floor cast from the Broadway production. Dancing with the Stars season fourteen introduced Farber as a group dancer. However, in season 17, when Snooki from the Jersey Shore cast joined him, he was promoted to expert artist. Despite receiving positive evaluations and praise from the assigned authorities, the duo was eliminated in week 7. A short while after, he was reinstated in the company of the seasons. On March 8, 2016, Farber was once more selected as an expert for season 22 and paired with Kim Fields, an on-screen persona.
