Co-donor Sasa Vucinic is the managing director of the Media Development Loan Fund. MDLF is a social enterprise that supports independent media outlets in the startup sector. It allows CEOs to assist columnists in challenging situations and create organizations that can be sustained around competent, capable reporting with little effort.
Since its founding in 1995, the MDLF has provided free media groups in 24 countries with modest funding totaling $90 million. From 1993 to 1995, Sasa served as a Media Consultant for the Soros Foundation organization. Before that, he served as General Manager and Editor-in-Chief of Belgrade's Radio B-92. Sasa graduated from the law program at the University of Belgrade.
