The Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (the d.school) at Stanford University is led by Sarah Stein Greenberg. Since 2010, she has assisted in running Stanford's multidisciplinary d.school, which supports trend-setters and disseminates configuration thinking. She had previously worked for Monitor Group's advancement department in the US and India and advised international organizations on developing development capabilities. Her experience includes creating innovative products and services for several emerging markets in Asia and Africa. At the study hall, Stein Greenberg loves to analyze the crossing point of configuration thinking and social effect. She has co-taught the Design Thinking Bootcamp, a foundational course at the d.school, and its high-impact Entrepreneurial Design for Extreme Affordability lecture on the scene-setting structure. In addition, she developed the Design Thinking for Public Policy Innovators course and launched a pilot program with short-group "spring up" workshops. She recently oversaw the school's inquiry on Stanford's future undergraduate education, "Stanford 2025," which produced innovative and radical ideas about the makeup and form of education. She discussed this goal at the "Wired by Design" meeting hosted by Wired Magazine. Stein Greenberg graduated with a BS in history from Oberlin College and an MBA from Stanford University.
