Sarah Clarke Biography

Sarah Clarke majored in both Italian and fine arts. She originally started acting while studying abroad in Italy for a year. However, she began examining architectural photography after returning to the United States. She was given free acting classes in exchange for shooting pictures of a cultural arts center. She also studied acting at The Willow Cabin Theatre Company and Circle in the Square Axis Theater Group. She performed in plays such as 24 Hour Plays' "k x z and y" and was cast in the indie movie "Pas de deux" in 2000, for which she won a coveted CiNY Award. Before getting the role of antagonist Nina Meyers on the FOX thriller "24," she later appeared in the critically acclaimed Volkswagen Jetta commercial Synchronicity, and the television shows Ed and Sex and the City. She wed her 24 co-stars Xander Berkeley in 2002. Sarah has kept up her acting career with parts in the movies Thirteen and Happy Endings and the TV series E-Ring.
