Sami Atiya leads the robotics and motion division of ABB Ltd. From June 13 until December 2016, Atiya was the head of ABB Ltd's discrete automation and motion division. He worked at Siemens for 18 years in the US and Europe.
From 2008 to 2011, he was also the chief executive officer of the mobility and logistics business and the computer tomography unit. Previously, he held several executive positions with Siemens Business Services and Siemens Medical Solutions Inc. in the US.
