Furhat Robotics, one of the fastest-growing social robotics startups in the world, is led by CEO and co-founder Samer Al Moubayed. A social robot that is highly adjustable and enables the creation of incredibly complex robot personalities was just released on the market by Furhat.
As an R&D postdoc with Disney Research in the US between April 2014 and May 2015, he focused on child-robot spoken interaction utilizing the Furhat platform and embodied multimodal dialogue systems. Before that, Samer worked as a researcher for the Embodied Multimodal Communication KTH Strategic Research Area at the Department for Speech, Music, and Hearing at KTH in Stockholm.
