Glamour's chief editor is Samantha Barry (U.S. Edition). She has been in this position since 2018 when she was named the magazine's seventh editor since its founding in 1939. When Barry was chosen editor-in-chief of Glamour, she made history by becoming the first editor-in-chief of a Conde Nast journal to have never before worked in print media.
Barry was born and raised in Ireland. Barry oversaw the transformation of Glamour into a digital-first publication from a monthly print edition. The final monthly print edition of Glamour was published in January 2019. Barry began her career as a reporter and journalist for The University Examiner.
