One of the country's top transportation and logistics firms, USF Corporation, was led by the retiring chairman, president, and CEO Samuel K. Skinner. He was president of the country's largest utility, Commonwealth Edison Company, and its holding firm, Unicom Corporation (now Exelon), from 1993 until 1998. Before joining Commonwealth Edison, he worked for President George H. W.
Bush for three years as Secretary of Transportation. In addition, Skinner has worked as a lawyer for over 50 years.
