Self-taught filmmaker Salomon Ligthelm has a background in sound design and music. He was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, but he resided in Dubai and Sydney before migrating to New York City with his wife and kid. His textural and experimental work tries to erase the distinctions between narrative and documentary filmmaking and explores new avenues for visual storytelling.
He is presently working on projects that examine the human condition while investigating emotional storytelling from a distinct cultural or subcultural viewpoint.
