When Saint Raymond burst into the music scene at 18, the music press immediately predicted great things for his indie pop songs. The singer/songwriter got off to a hectic start to the year, supporting Aplin on her European tour before signing with Ed Sheeran's record label, Asylum Records, and performing with American soft rockers HAIM in the U.K.
A band led by singer/songwriter Dan Smith, who followed the model set by Bastille's success in the United States, provided backup for his live performances. Burrows and Bastille enjoy lush harmonies from the 1980s, and his erratic beats are influenced by the Afro-beat of Vampire Weekend.
