Ryan James Anderson (born May 6, 1988) is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the NBA's New Orleans Pelicans (NBA). Anderson was born in the city of Sacramento in the state of California. El Dorado Hills' Oak Ridge High School was his alma mater.
Anderson was the boyfriend of Gia Allemand, a former Bachelor contestant, and model who died in August 2013 after attempting suicide. Anderson was a key player in the Trojans' victory against Mater Dei High School in Division II California State Championship game in 2005. Sacramento's Arco Arena hosted the contest.
