Ruma Bose is the founder and managing partner of Humanitarian Ventures, an impact fund that invests in high-growth technology businesses. Bose is also a co-founder of the Canadian Entrepreneurship Initiative and an advisor to the Soros Economic Development Fund (CEI). Bose founded CEI and produced the organization's main study, Entrepreneurship: Canada's Golden Chance.
CEI introduced its flagship Amplify initiative, which provides funding, coaching, and free e-commerce subscriptions to women entrepreneurs running small companies throughout Canada, in collaboration with its corporate partners Clearbanc, Shopify, PayPal, and Virgin. Bose was a member of Chobani's Management Council, which aimed to produce better food for more people. Chobani is the largest yogurt manufacturer in the United States.
