Rose Leslie is a Scottish actress who has appeared in television shows such as Game of Thrones and Downtown Abby. Leslie previously narrated The British Slave Trade: Abolition, Parliament, and People for BBC Radio. She starred in Nell Leyshon's controversial production Bedlam at the Globe Theatre in 2010.
Her breakthrough roles occurred as Gwen Dawson, a housemaid, in the first season of the ITV television drama Downton Abbey, and as Ygritte in the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones, for which she won a Scottish BAFTA for Best Acting Performance. She played Maia Rindell on CBS All Access' legal and political drama The Good Fight for three seasons.
