Ron Lester originally hails from Kennesaw, Georgia and describes himself as “Gucci Country.” Playing the role of Billy Bob, a social linebacker who suffered in the hands of his harsh and difficult coach Jon Voight, Ron Lester won the hearts of many movie lovers worldwide in the movie Varisty Blues starring Scott Caan and Paul Walker. Lester was nominated in the “Best Side Kick” category at the Teen Choice awards for two consecutive years for his successful run as Sugar Daddy on Popular, a WBs hit show. In the feature spoof, Not Another Teen Movie, He made fun of his own breakout role in Varsity Blues in the feature parody, Not Another Teen Movie. He also appeared in Drum Solo, a projected first Warner Bros Internet film. Lester was a recurring guest star on the television series Sabrina the Teenage Witch, All That, CSI New York, Freaks & Greeks and The Keenan & Kel Show. Lester took advantage of the limited opportunities he had to perform in church productions and on-stage in school. One of his most memorable experiences was writing and directing a show preformed by a group of mentally challenged students. Later, he landed a spot as an extra in a Formula 409 commercial and impressed the director with his sense of humor and screen presence which got him an offer in his first feature role in that same commercial. And also a role in “Kick A Little” by the country music group Little Texas which was directed by John Smalls known for his work with Garth Brooks. Each producer on both commercials and the music video had the scripts re-written to fit in Ron as the main focus. Lester moved to Hollywood, California, as a result of his early success so as to develop his natural talents starting with stand-up comedy. He became the audience’s favorite at popular clubs like The Ice House, Melrose Improv, The Laugh Factory and Punchline. He landed the role of Spatch in the hit comedy Good Burger in his very first feature film audition and this inspired him to keep at it. His main priority in life is to honor his mother’s dream but spends most of his time at several charities associated with children living with cancer. He lost his mother Mary Ellen to ovarian cancer, and because god his close relationship with her, he made a promise to be deeply involved in charities committed to fighting cancer in her honor. Ron has a loyal commitment to the US Armed Forces and has completed numerous A.F.E. and U.S.O tours to the Middle East and Europe where he met with troops and the staff and military crew aboard the USS Constellation named him “Jedi Pimp.” His hobbies include listening to music and the entire catalogues of George Strait and Robbie Williams who are his favorites. He enjoys Rally Car and Track Racing with dreams of competing in a celebrity grand prix, while his late father, Leonard, inspired his love for motorcycles. He also loves to collect toy cars and is well known among other collectors as the “Jay Leno of toy cars” for his collection of 1:18 scale toy cars.
