Ron Dermer grew up in the Miami Beach area of Florida. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business with a degree in Finance and Management and Oxford University with a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE). He was a columnist for the Jerusalem Post for three years.
The Case For Democracy: The Power of Freedom to Overcome Tyranny and Terror, which Ron co-authored with Natan Sharansky in 2004, was a best-selling book that has been translated into 10 languages. Ron was Israel's Minister of Economic Affairs in the United States from 2005 until 2008. He was Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Senior Advisor from 2009 until 2013.
