Laurence Robert Bob Barr, Jr. is the Libertarian Party's presidential candidate for 2008. Bob Barr Sr. and his wife, Beatrice, welcomed him into the world on November 5th, 1948 in Iowa City, Iowa. Bob Barr Jr.
was the second of six children, and he spent most of his youth traveling across the world due to his father's military career at West Point. He lived in Malaysia, Pakistan, Panama, and Tehran, Iran, during his boyhood, where he graduated from Community High School in 1966.
