Robert Gentz is a German entrepreneur and co-founder of the fashion e-commerce platform Zalando. He was born in Berlin in 1983 and grew up in the Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood. Gentz studied business administration at the European Business School in London before dropping out to pursue entrepreneurship.
In 2008, he founded Zalando with his friend David Schneider, which quickly grew to become Europe's largest online fashion retailer. In 2014, Gentz stepped down as CEO but remained on the board of directors. He has also invested in various tech startups and is a supervisory board member at Delivery Hero, a food delivery company.
