Former captain in the United States Navy and NASA astronaut, Robert Curbeam, graduated in 1980 from Woodlawn High School, Baltimore County, Maryland. In 1984, from the United Stares Naval Academy, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering.
In 1990, he earned a Master of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School and a master's degree in Astronautical Engineering in 1991 from the Naval Postgraduate School. He is a member of the Association of Old Crows and the U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association. Curbeam received the U.S.
